Northwest 23rd food cart Nineteen27 S’mores will put down stakes in Scout Beer’s incoming Division taproom.
Nineteen27 opened its food cart in 2015, serving its house-made graham crackers and marshmallows on the weekends and at Blazers’ games. The s’mores spot’s new home on 50th and Division will open March 16, complete with beer, s’mores, and a spot by the fire.
Nineteen27 is a natural match for Scout Beer, which brews campy stouts and ales with peanut butter and cinnamon raisins. The New School Beer broke the news about Scout’s second outpost in June, which is designed for Portland’s precious warm months: The taproom’s garage door opens onto a large outdoor space, with a firepit and neighboring food pod The Lot at Scout. Nineteen27 co-owner James Kelly is especially excited for summer saying, “Beer, friends, fire pits, s’mores—it’s too perfect.”
For the month of March, Nineteen27 S’mores is offering buy-one-get-one deals on s’mores, as well as a chance to to win gift cards to the new shop.
Scout and Nineteen27 S’mores will be at 1516 SE 10th Avenue, with hours from 5 to 10 p.m. daily, possibly closing later during the summer. The s’mores shop will still have carts for catering, perfect for any Sandlot-themed weddings in the near future.
Correction (March 13, 11:04 a.m.): This story has been changed to note the correct name of the brewery, Scout Beer.
