Facebook, while cursed with some nefarious shenanigans, remains one-stop shopping for our social, educational, and rage-release needs. Why not figure out where to eat there, too? Eater Portland’s brand new Facebook group is the place to find a restaurant in a pinch, show off your culinary prowess, or simply figure out where to take your mother for brunch. Portland’s a talkative town; we want you to be a part of the conversation.

Another perk: Eater Portland’s staff and contributors are mingling about within the space, so feel free to reach out to us with questions, thoughts, or recommendations.

Send a join request our way — the group is closed to weed out the folks (bots) who will post about fake iPad deals and other bizarre nonsense, but we’ll accept your request quickly — and comment on some of the group’s current threads. We’re gabbing about Vietnamese food, dumplings, and happy hour. It’s a good way to waste a workday. If you’re more interested in talking about Ugly Delicious and whether Antoni Porowski can actually cook on Queer Eye, check out Eater’s national food and TV Facebook group, Eat, Drink, Watch.
