Get ready for pig ear nachos and crystal-clear daiquiris

Cocktail snobs, rejoice: The supremely popular bar pop-up Deadshot, which was set to open in the former Associated space this Friday, got a head start. The bar opened this week without a formal announcement, serving pig ear nachos and perfectly transparent daiquiris. Last week, the bar announced its original opening date, May 25, which is still listed on its social media accounts; only neighborhood sleuths and loyalists noticed the bar’s open doors. According to co-owner Adam Robinson, Deadshot decided to keep the opening quiet because of a few kinks in the design and bar menu, now fully polished.

Local architecture and design firm Annen tackled the space, ditching the former pizzeria’s oven and giving it a pseudo-industrial, modern look. With its shimmering brass bar, leather booths, and grey-and-black color palate, the space feels cool and sophisticated, only amplified by its pricy, meticulously crafted drinks. Keep an eye out for the crystal daiquiri, in which lime juice is run through a centrifuge to remove its solids and emerge pristinely clear. The bar is open from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily.
