Mother’s Day is next weekend, Sunday May 13, and if you haven’t made brunch reservations yet, well, excuses won’t make seats magically appear. Luckily, there are some knockout places serving Mother’s Day specials that still have availability (for now). Here are the places to make those last-minute reservations before they completely sell out.

Urban Farmer

What it is: The farm-friendly restaurant and steakhouse in downtown’s Nines Hotel
What’s happening: A Mother’s Day brunch buffet
What to get: Citrus smoked salmon, spring pea and duck confit, oysters on the half-shell

Trifecta Tavern and Bakery and Kaylee Young of Flourish by Kay

What it is: The Buckman-area tavern and bakery and a local florist/photographer
What’s happening: Mother’s Day flowers and pastries pop-up
What to get: Croissants, morning rolls, escargot (pastry, not snail), each with a single stemmed flower, or bunches of flowers from Young
How much: $3 to $4 for pastries, $5 to $35 for floral arrangements or $50 to $75 with a vase

Punch Bowl Social

What it is: Downtown mega-bar with games and bowling
What’s happening: Mother’s Day brunch buffet and games
What to get: Omelets at the omelet station, biscuits with mushroom gravy, cheesecake
How much: $25 for adults, $12 for kids 12 and under. Moms get one chance to bowl a strike and win free brunch
