Summer days in Oregon make up for the nine months out of the year the state is shrouded in mold-gray clouds: The trees glow emerald green, the river shows off, and Portlanders trade beanies for hair ties and ponytails. And of course, Portland’s rooftop bars and patios fill, slushy machines begin turning, and suddenly everyone has decided to get soft serve from Wiz Bang Bar.
Let’s get technical for a second: Here at Eater PDX headquarters (the kitchen table in my apartment), we see all of you searching for our patio map and our ice cream lists as soon as the temperature breaks 70. Let’s just make things easier for you: Keep this story stream bookmarked or pinned for any day the sun decides to make an appearance, so you can take advantage of our scant summery days. It has everything you’ll need, from event lists to outdoor dining guides, plus a few notable openings that would make for a great new summer hangout.
