A car crashed into the front of East Burnside’s Tannery Bar this morning, the Oregonian reports. At around 7:19 a.m., a crash was reported in North Tabor involving a Trimet bus and and a sports wagon. Trimet hasn’t confirmed if the bus was in service, but the driver of the car was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“We’re still trying to piece it together,” Tannery co-owner Andrew Shepherd said. He found out about the crash on his way to work, when Oregonian critic Michael Russell posted a photo on Instagram of the car smashed through the window of his East Burnside bar. However, Shepherd is hoping the bar won’t have to close for repairs. “Right now, we’ve got our dude in her prepping,” he said. “We’re hoping to have a portion of the business open today.”
