HunnyMilk, the sweet and intoxicating breakfast pop-up at La Buca, is finally finding its own digs, Instagram account @perfectfooddays first reported. The pop-up is known for its $22 brunch, which includes decadent sweet items, savory items, and a beverage. The pop-up confirmed the restaurant will open in the former Bitter End space on 20th and W Burnside, with plans to begin serving by late August.
HunnyMilk is a stalwart on Eater PDX’s brunch map, thanks to dishes like crispy pork ribs with cheesy grits and carrot cake waffles. The pop-up from Brandon Weeks is famously playful: Guests play with crayons and vintage toys while they wait for piles of strawberry-topped french toast or chorizo-gravy-smothered biscuits. The restaurant’s included drink is often non-alcoholic, but boozy upgrades are available for an additional fee. Weeks got his start at places like Charlie Trotter’s (Chicago) and Bouchon (Yountville), before he worked pastry at The Painted Lady in Newberg. Stay tuned for more updates.
