A new boba shop in Beaverton lets guests customize their own drinks. MILK+T, a company with roots in Los Angeles, opened their second location in the Portland suburb, serving a variety of loose-leaf teas with an assortment of self-serve add-ins and optional ice cream.

Each tea starts at $5, which comes with the glass bottle it’s served in, as well as additions like coffee jellies, mango chunks, and even egg pudding. The tea bases themselves come swirled with house syrups like cucumber and watermelon, as well as lactose-free milk and coconut milk. The teas are also customizable in their sweetness — any tea is available at varying sweetness levels, from quarter-sweet (about 25 percent the traditional sweetness) to regular.

It appears the boba shop opened without real announcement in August, but the shop will be throwing a large grand opening party September 28 and 29 with a dj and boba pong. The shop is currently open for business with a limited menu, according to their Facebook and Yelp pages.
