The Original Dinerant, the downtown diner with a retro mom-and-pop vibe, has expanded with the addition of a new bar and arcade on its upper mezzanine level overlooking the streets of downtown. The Dinercade, as its playfully known, features a selection of new and vintage arcade games and pinball machines, and offers a menu of snacks, beers, wines, and cocktails.
Drinks are named for video game references, like the Princess Peach—a peachy bourbon iced tea—and The Hadouken, a floral and slightly sweet gin cocktail with the hue of Ryu’s blue fireball. Beers are offered in cans, and the food menu is on the snacky-side, with items like caramel corn and trail mix made in house. Hungrier guests can head downstairs to The Original to order from its large menu of diner staples.
The Dinercade shares the same hours as The Original, opening bright and early each day and staying open until 10 p.m. during the week and midnight on weekends.
