Lavender lattes, healthy pastries, and halva balls are coming to Creston-Kenilworth. Cheery SE Division juice cart Best Friend is getting its very own cafe starting this late summer.

Best Friend, a juice and smoothie cart from Crema alums Margaux Muller and Chan Wong, will sell various smoothies, juices, smoothie bowls, and pastries on the corner of Gladstone & 28th, in the Jolene’s First Cousin building. The building is a housing development targeted and homeless and low-income residents, with retail spaces on the ground floor.

Beyond drinks like its Margaux Mango smoothie and golden milk elixirs, Best Friend’s main cafe will also include a larger collection of Margalaxy treats, Muller’s healthy pastry company. The menu will include its superfood granola, as well as its various moon balls.

The cafe will be a white-and-light blue, 15-seat cafe that’s meant for grab-and-go visitors. While the two build the cafe, they’re raising money via a GoFundMe.
