Last Sunday may have been extremely disappointing for fans of high-budget fantasy television, but it was in no means a letdown for followers of local sports: The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Denver Nuggets 100 to 96, sending the hometown team to the Western Conference finals for the first time since 2000.

While the TV nerds are lamenting, sports nerds are celebrating with game day specials at bars and restaurants across the city. Here are nine places offering game time happy hours and other specials to celebrate the team’s victories and maybe assuage the eventual disappointment with discounted beers and whiskey. The first game starts at 6 p.m., Tuesday May 14, and the complete game schedule can be found here.

Teote House Café and Teote Mezcalerìa

The colorful South American restaurant and agave bar, as well as its darker, mezcal-focused cocktail bar offshoot, are both showing the games and have happy hour pricing throughout. This means $1 off cocktails, arepas, and draught beers.

Eastburn

The casual neighborhood restaurant, pub, and venue Eastburn will be showing games upstairs at full volume, and then downstairs on three screens with volume on depending on the evening. At both spots, guests can find $2 tall boys in a variety of styles, plus half-off bowls of trinity fries — fries, sweet potato fries, and crispy fried leeks served with roasted tomato aioli. If or when the Blazers score 100 or above, all pints are half off.
