Some anticipated restaurants are finally arriving, including The Star and Gado Gado, and this week, a few other major players revealed restaurant openings coming down the line this summer. Still, even more shake-ups are in play this week: Bar Norman has leveled up from its menu of tinned fish, Ranch Pizza has left Poison’s Rainbow, and a gaggle of food carts is about to scatter across Portland. Read on for details:

BAR SNACKS — SE Clinton wine bar Bar Norman is now serving Japanese snacks from Giraffe, the new-ish cafe serving things like katsu sandwiches and bento boxes. Bar Norman has shifted away from its menu of tinned fish into items like kimchi croquettes, smoked squid snacks, and the famous egg salad sandwich. [EaterWire]

ROLL AWAY — The SW Alder and 10th food cart pod now has a closing date. Last year, news broke that a hotel would replace the downtown massive food cart pod; now, the carts know they have to vacate by June 30. The pod is home to notable carts like Shanghai Best and the Grilled Cheese Grill — stay tuned for details about where they may relocate. [The O]

LEAVING THE RANCH — Ranch Pizza, the Detroit-ish style pizza with a restaurant in Woodlawn, has left its first home, as the food service at Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock’s bar Poison’s Rainbow. Ranch says “big news” is coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned. [EaterWire]
