Ancestry Brewing, the Tualatin-based, family-owned brewery with nautical themes, has moved into its new Hawthorne location and is open intermittently over the next few weekends, with the cafe open daily and a grand opening planned for the end of the month.
The brewpub is currently open on weekends only for limited hours; despite the limited hours, the brewpub is serving its full menu of waygu beef burgers, salads, sides, and starters, as well as its full draught list. Its smaller, adjacent cafe is fully open every day from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for coffee, espresso drinks, and pastries from Marsee Baking, as well as avocado toast and parfaits.
The space is recognizable as the former home of Chapel Hill, though clearly updated, with a gorgeous copper back bar and some nicely reserved nautical aesthetics. The brewery is open June 7 and 8 and June 14, 15, and 16, opening at noon and closing after dinner service, with last call around 9 or 10 p.m. nightly. A grand opening and full hours are planned for later in the month.
