Eater Young Gun Jacob Harth Begins a Weekend Seafood Shack Pop-Up at Nevor Shellfish Farm This Weekend
When coronavirus shut down restaurants the first time, Jacob Harth’s pearl of a supper club, Erizo, had no real path forward. The restaurant, an Eater Best New Restaurant in 2019, featured a tasting menu of seafood caught, foraged and snatched from the Oregon Coast, often by the chef himself. The minuscule dining room didn’t really have the space for any sort of socially distanced service, so Harth stepped away. Now, he’s emerging on the Oregon Coast, with a new drive-in clam-shack pop-up at the celebrated Nevor Shellfish Farm. The menu ranges from the standards — clam chowder, whole Dungeness crab, barbecue oysters — to ritzier fare, including uni toast and mackerel crudo. The menu will be available in the parking lot from noon to 5 p.m. Fridays through Saturdays starting December 4; it will run “at least (until) the end of the year.” Check out the full menu via Instagram.
