Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant world is in flux. Some restaurants have closed altogether, while others have transitioned to delivery and takeout models to accommodate Gov. Kate Brown’s executive orders.

The following is a roundup of restaurants in East Portland, Gresham, and beyond that offer meals, ingredients, and beer via takeout and/or delivery. Please note that this list is not intended to be comprehensive, and will be updated regularly with new options.

For even more takeout and delivery options, there’s also a comprehensive neighborhood-by-neighborhood Portland guide, plus vegan-and-vegetarian, pizza, and grocery roundups.

East Portland

Even though travelers are currently grounded, it’s still possible to get a taste of Eastern Europe without leaving the house. International supermarket Citymaxx has many bakery items and most of its deli selections—from cabbage rolls to goulash—available through Grubhub for delivery.

Gateway Brewing

Gateway’s own brewing company is offering curbside pickup Monday through Saturday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and free delivery of its Glendoveer Golden, Parkrose Pilsner, and other styles with a 12-can minimum order online. There’s no minimum order for pick up. Head to 114 NE 133rd Ave.

Level Beer

The tasting room might be closed, but Level Beer is offering plenty of beer options for pickup: 25 percent off of canned beer, $7 crowlers, and 20 percent off kegs if customers order online. Customers can pick up orders between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.; just remember to bring I.D. for alcohol pickup. Use promo code “merchmonger” to receive 15 percent off swag like hats, t-shirts, and glassware. On-site food carts like Bam Pow! Burgers and Flor de Guelaguetza are still open for to-go orders, while Bam Pow! delivers through Grubhub.

La Osita

Brunch tacos and vegan burritos are still available to-go at this Mexican-meets-Northwest cart on 122nd. Call ahead (503) 358-3364 or order online via laositapdx.com Monday through Saturday mornings until 3 p.m.
