Another taproom will be joining Great Notion in the Cedar Mill area. Stickmen Brewing, the brainchild of Tim Schoenheit, is launching its third location this fall, complete with a full coffee bar, wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and salads for lunch and dinner.

Stickmen Brewing began production in Lake Oswego back in 2013, expanding into Tualatin in 2017. The brewery is known for its focus on hop influence, as well as its popular Bee’s Knees beer brewed with Oregon blackberry honey. Unlike the Lake Oswego and Tualatin locations, the new Cedar Mill location will not also function as a brewery. It will, however, feature 24 taps of Stickmen’s beer, along with four taps of wine and cider, New School reports.

The construction of Kirkland Place Plaza, which will house the new Stickmen location, is scheduled to be completed in the fall. The new 5,000 square foot space in Cedar Mill will neighbor Market of Choice (itself home to one of Beaverton’s largest beer and wine selections) and Portland beer heavyweight Great Notion Brewing. The new restaurant space will be built alongside a second building, which has been leased to Dogtopia and a new 49,000 square foot Even Hotel in the same plaza.

Lauren Satterfield, marketing and sales manager for Stickmen Brewing, tells Eater that the brewery has been searching for a space in Beaverton and has consequently been in lease negotiations for almost two years now. “We actually had quite a few people who live in Beaverton (especially Cedar Mill) that said they were in need of more breweries out that way and would love to have us out there,” she says.

Stickmen plans to use its new space to offer the same menu options as its Tualatin beer hall, but with the addition of more pizzas cooked in its new wood-fired Mugnaini pizza oven, as well as more salads than offered at the other two locations. Finally, a few sandwiches (also cooked in the wood-fired oven) will become menu additions.

This beer hall and restaurant will also add an “italian inspired” coffee bar, where Stickmen plans to offer pastries and frittatas alongside lattes and cappuccinos. It is still on the hunt for a local bakery to supply pastries and baked goods.

Stickmen is expected to open in late 2021 on the corner of 118th Avenue and Barnes Road.
