Shake Shack will start serving burgers in Beaverton starting April 16. The fast food chain from big-name restaurateur Danny Meyer has announced the official opening date for the Cedar Hills location, which will be the state’s first Shake Shack.
Over the last year, Shake Shack — which operates locations everywhere from Riyadh to Cleveland — has been dropping clues in public documents regarding Oregon expansion plans. Way back in April 2020, the company’s intention to open a location in downtown Portland surfaced through documents filed with the Bureau of Development Services. The suburban location, however, seems to have moved more swiftly: In an April 8 press release, the company said that the downtown Shake Shack is slated to open in early 2022.
Shake Shack is known for its burgers, sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, and frozen treats; in particular, the Shack Stack, a burger topped with a full fried portobello, has been a favorite among the East Coasters already inundated with Shake Shack locations. The Beaverton Shack Shack will serve beers from Breakside, Ecliptic, and Occidental, as well as seasonal shakes like its strawberry rhubarb shake. When it opens, Shake Shack will offer limited indoor dining and outdoor dining on a large patio, as well as online ordering in the coming months.
The new Shake Shack will open within Cedar Hills Crossing; the Shake Shack location within Cedar Hills will open at 2597 SW Cedar Hills Blvd in Beaverton.
Update April 8, 2021, 5:13 p.m.: This story was updated to include more details about the opening of the new Shake Shack location, including the address, beer availability, and level of service.
