Fry Day Friday: Mapping PDX's Unique Fried Potato Dishes

View as Map

In honor of Burger Week's sexy cousin Fry Day Friday (see what we did there?), we went on the hunt for some of Portland's more unique deep-fried potato dishes, the ones that took the humble concept of starch-hitting-oil and elevated it (usually with the addition of cheese, meat, or other equally delicious-slash-unnecessary tater toppings).

To keep things classic, we kept the definition of a "French fry" to just that: The dishes had to contain potatoes (sorry, chickpea fries), and spend some quality time in the deep fryer. Did we miss your favorite? Holler in the comments.
