From Mumbai-inspired cocktails and vodka-fueled celebrations topped with Russian caviar, to classic, candlelit Pacific Northwest dining, here are top picks for New Year's Eve 2016.

Almost every restaurant featured on the map below is currently accepting reservations, so hop on it as soon as possible. But you'll also find one option that isn't accepting reservations (Bollywood Theater), as well as spots with bar areas that'll be open to walk-ins all night (Tusk, Ava Gene's).

Altabira’s Luis Escorcia will be cooking up à la carte dishes on NYE. Think steak tartare ($13); ahi tuna with lobster mashed potatoes ($29); New York strip with mushroom budino and shaved white truffles ($30); and, for dessert, s’mores pots de crème ($8).

Per tradition, Biwa’s putting out a NYE spread where guests can dine on, among other things, chawanmushi, oysters, sashimi moriawase, toshikoshi soba, and pudding for dessert. Dinners run $65 per guest, with drink pairings running another $35 each. There are also a limited number of chef’s counter dinners available, too (specials TBS), which run $80 each.

Noble Rot

Open 5 to 10 p.m. on NYE, Noble Rot has one of the best wine lists in the city, with a birds-eye view of downtown from the east side. To say farewell and good riddance to 2016, chef Aaron Adams is offering a trio of luxurious multi-course plant-based dinners at his 18-person chef’s counter. The first goes down at 5:15 p.m. (10 courses, $55); the second is a 15-courser ($90) at 7:30 p.m.; and the final seating at 10 p.m. is a 20-courser ($120), with a midnight glass of sparkling wine included. And don't forget Farm Spirit is taking a break the first week of January, so now's the time to get inside.

Chef Peter Cho is teaming up with Let Em Eat's Karl Holl to offer a single seating at 7 p.m., with a nine-course menu for $65 ($30 optional drink pairing). Then, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., get a special preview of Han Oak's next evolution as a noodle and dumpling house, with a special drink menu by bartender Michelle Ruocco.

The hip new farm-forward restaurant serving Middle Eastern flavors is accepting reservations until 11 a.m. and will serve its regular menu, with some NYE specials. Make a reservations through through the website. Bar will be open to walk-ins only.

The German beer bar Stammtisch is ringing out the new year with a three-course $40 prix fixe menu that starts with a foie gras torchon, ends with a pumpkin tartlet and fills you up in between with a plate of sauerkraut, sausages and other German-style meats. Stick around till the ball drops and you can pair your beer with a complimentary glass of bubbles.

On the last day of the year, Suzette’s Jehnee Rains is putting on a dinner she’s calling a “Frenchy-French Soirée.” The four-courser includes crab beignets, radicchio salad, duck à la orange, and chocolate hazelnut tarts for dessert. This dinner starts at 6 p.m., and clocks in at a very affordable $39.

On New Year’s Eve, Javier Canteras is offering diners a five-course tapas dinner at which he’ll serve up bowls of sopa de ajo, seared scallops with a foie gras glaze, and culotte steaks with sunchoke romesco, glass potatoes, and leek marmalade. Dinners run $75 each. Another $45 will get you paired cavas, wines and sherries.

Chef Naomi Pomeroy’s putting on one of the city's most luxurious options: an eight-course wine-paired feast. It will showcase roasted beet tartare, spinach and burrata tortellini, wagyu ribeyes (with roasted black salsify and black trumpet mushrooms), and, for dessert, dark chocolate-chicory marjolaines with crème fraîche ice cream. The cost is $250 a head. Seatings are at 5:30 and 9 p.m.

Always surprising and delicious, chef Sarah Pliner's plates are fun, refined, and on point, and this NYE's menu includes things like butter poached swordfish in lobster broth, with mango, puffed rice, taro root, ruby chard, and American caviar.
