Thanksgiving dinner... in ice cream form from Salt & Straw
| Salt & Straw/Official

Somehow, Thanksgiving is almost upon us again. This year, like last year, is a quieter one for Portland, which occupies ancestral Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, and Molalla land, as well as territory populated by many other tribes. Many of the downtown hotel restaurants that once hosted Thanksgiving dinners have closed, and many other dining rooms remain empty. However, there are plenty of options for those who want to enjoy dinner at home, as restaurants across town rally to make meal packages. Some are served hot and ready to go, others need some warming up at home. Some are more traditional—turkey, potatoes, pies, and sides. Others include Filipino feasts, smoked brisket, or a complete dinner in ice cream form.

In any case, these are the places to order Thanksgiving dinner for your home meals. Many of them will sell out quickly, and others have upcoming deadlines for orders; keep that in mind before you try to nab Thanksgiving takeout the day of.

Per usual, this list is not ranked; rather, it’s organized geographically.
