Now that summer's in full force around here — it certainly took long enough — Portland's become an ideal locale for drinking copious amounts of ice-cold libations with friends. However, drinks at the average backyard barbeque (read: cheap beer) start to taste like envelope glue after a while, and tastier alternatives at bars are often criminally expensive. That's why you and your cronies deserve big-ass, cheap-ass, good-ass drinks. The following nine spots serve flavorful cocktails in jugs, bowls, bottles, and even hollowed-out fruit; these made-to-share sizes are a one-way ticket to cost-effective intoxication. But for the love of God: designated drivers, please!
